Aftercare

Leave the paste undisturbed for 6–8 hours minimum; longer sitting time means a darker final stain. Avoid water for the first 72 hours, then moisturise daily from day four with coconut or almond oil, wear gloves for cleaning, and use fragrance-free soap. Scotland’s milder, wetter climate compared to further south means henna paste here can take slightly longer to dry fully in the first few hours — plan for the full 8-hour window rather than assuming it’ll set faster.
